The Musculoskeletal Imaging Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Phoenix, Arizona, offers excellent training with diverse pathology from complex oncology to sports imaging and hands-on procedural interventions. Additionally, the three months of electives and the expectation to perform general call ensures that you not only maintain but further improve your general radiology skills that will be useful in future practice. Finally, Mayo Clinic's culture and, most importantly, the wonderful musculoskeletal attendings provide a fun and collaborative environment to learn that I look forward to every day.

I chose this fellowship for a multitude of reasons, many of which stand unmatched compared to other programs. It offers exceptional training and education. There is a wide breadth of pathology including high-level sports imaging, oncologic work, and bread-and-butter cases. There are plenty of procedural experiences and opportunities necessary to prepare for future practice. The staff are welcoming, friendly, approachable, and a joy to work with. They're excellent teachers deeply committed to our growth and serve as invaluable career mentors. The daily work, along with the general call responsibilities, is undeniably challenging but still completely manageable and prepares us well for our careers. There are plenty of research and leadership opportunities to pursue. I'm very happy with my decision and would choose this fellowship again without hesitation.
